Readers can choose to add their result after finishing. Here is what we do, and do not, know.
Honesty about sample size
We do not publish an average until enough readers have added their score for it to mean anything. The illustration below shows the shape we expect, not a confirmed figure.
How a data point gets added
After finishing the test, you're given the option to add your score to this page it's opt-in, not automatic. Only the final number is submitted, with no name, email, or answer-by-answer breakdown attached to it. You can decline and still see your full result.
Why age and result rarely match
The questions ask about habits and instincts, not birthdays. A 19-year-old with a strict routine can score higher than a 40-year-old who still stays up for sunrise on a whim. That gap is the point of the test, not a flaw in it.
What we'll publish once there's enough data
Once the sample is large enough to be meaningful, this page will show a real distribution instead of the illustration, along with the sample size behind it and how often it's updated.
